However you made it to my random blog is beyond me, but I am so thankful you're here. Whether you are family, friend, or neither, I hope these short excerpts of my life story are encouraging! Enjoy.

Hey there,

My name is Naomi and I am a pretty regular girl, well not THAT regular. I'm actually kind of weird and random! I have been praying about writing a blog for about three years now, so here it is in all its glory. I am not an eloquent writer in the least and mostly write my train of thought, so I apologize if you become confused at any point in time.

So let's jump right in as to why I am here sitting at my desk typing all this for maybe two people to read it. Simply put, I'm a hot mess loved by Jesus and I want other young people, especially my sisters, to know that Jesus loves them, even in their mess. I've come to know Christ through many different avenues in my life but the most important of them all is through community. The Lord continues to reveal the nature of himself through the people He sends in my life.

Now 22 and in college, I have seen a lot and done a lot, some good and some bad. Like many others I have past deep hurts (Which will be thoroughly discussed in posts to come) and am learning to heal daily. As I learn more about what true healing look likes, the more I want to share with others the freedom I am experiencing because I desire for others to experience freedom.

We exist in a world that is afraid to be vulnerable because we deeply fear rejection. We long to be known and loved but fear that others will take advantage if we let them in. I am no different in this area, in fact, I think this might be one of my greatest fears. As a challenge to myself I decided to start this blog and I aim to be as vulnerable as appropriate in my posts and I hope they make someone feel that they're understood and not alone.

I have many planned topics to write about and might possibly produce some other type of media content to encourage whoever sees it. Some posts will be heavy, funny, thought-provoking and culture challenging, but most of all I pray that they encourage you to know the maker of your soul.
